FAQ

At Chinook Riders, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies the needs of our members and those simply interested in who we ar. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact us at  admin@chinookriders.ca.

[Is the CMA a motorcycle club?]

[No. ]

The CMA is a ministry to bikers, and the CMA Chapters serve as a place where like-minded Christians can gather together in association with one another in order to support and equip one another for that ministry.

[Does the CMA do anything other than ‘ministry’?]

[Yes]

Even though the main focus is ministry to bikers, we do satisfy the need for community and ministry among our own membership. This is done through our monthly meeting, Saturday morning breakfasts, and Tuesday evening pie runs. Also, individuals will organize the odd ad-hoc ride from time-to-time.

[How does the Chapter raise money?]

There is no membership fee to be a member of the local chapter. There is no dues. We do have a free-will collection at the monthly meetings which allows us to purchase various ministry products from the CMA store, and provide for normal administrative costs (phone, postage, etc.) We also have a free-will donation to offset the cost of goddies and coffee at the meetings.

As an organization, the CMA does run a major fundraiser each year called the Run For The Son. Money raised through this effort goes toward national ministry, Operation Open Doors, and Missionary Ventures.

[What is Ministry Ventures?]

The CMA provides means of transportation to indigenous pastors and missionaries in remote locations. Whether a motorcycle, bicycle, or pony, the CMA is there to see that these folk can get around to their constituency as easily and efficiently as possible.

How do I Become a Member?

To become a member, come on out and get to know us. If you wish to proceed, then fill out an application and submit to an interview with the Area Representative and the Chapter President. Once that has been done, they will recommend you to Head Office, and a membership card will be issued.

To wear the colours, you have to take our Ministry Training program, a series of 6 DVDs plus one additional that is targeted at the ministry area you would like to entertain.
